Is it possible to tow a jet ski behind a larger boat at Displacement Speeds or does it wander all over the place or worse tip over. I am talking about one that does not have a rider on at the time. Ie like a tender might be towed

But I vaguely remember in my jet ski days nearly 30y ago there was a potential issue of water backing up through the inlet and flooding something because the engine is not running ?
Suspect today’s jetskis have closed cooling , but that raw water needs pumping around as well and in a sea way with the thing bobbing about there might be a small chance of water ingress via a mini riser into the exhaust side of an open valve .

Consult the handbook or manufacture first to see if there are any provisos .
Like clamping off the water inlet .
 
Seadoo have closed cooling but Yamaha still use open sea water cooling.
You definitely need to clamp the intake or install a shut off valve on a Yamaha but I’m not sure about Seadoo.
Modern ski’s are nearly as wide as a small rib so as stable as one, no issues towing one once the above is sorted.

I did a quick search of the forum but couldn't find the thread but i'm sure I read it on here. Maybe it was a newer setup than the one in the vid?? Anyone remember?? I also remember (I think) that there was a towing valve like the Williams jet tenders have have for towing. Hurricane had a jetski on the boat, maybe he would know?
 
If its a standup you may have problems keeping your balance.
Best stick to water ski's!
Ah just noticed displacement speeds.
Friend use to regularly tow his SeeDo at 25knots on a very long line.
