My boat has Amiot genoa sheet rails, with sliding cars which are locked in position with a lifting pin. I would like to convert them to towable cars so I can adjust them without leaving the cockpit.

Unfortunately the google trail dies quickly because it seems Amiot went out of business a few years ago, and although they were taken over by Goiot there is no clear after sales back up. Does anybody know if there is a conversion kit available?

The boat is a Jeanneau SO32.2.

Have you seen this. Seems Barton cars fit.

If the track is standard Amiot 25mm then Barton 25mm towed cars are a perfect fit. Tap the track to secure the end fittings without the need to work below deck. You would need to check thjat their 32mm cars fit the larger track.
You could always swop the track as the hole centres are 100mm, which is standard for modern track. (If you can get to the underdeck that is.) I would recommend going further and having roller bearing cars if you can stand the expense, if not then beef up the tackle to 4 to 1. July 2012, issue 549, of PBO is what you need.
