the bottom fin on the outboard is now clean of paint having been through a few too many sandbanks whilst skiing
i had thought i could just spray it (white) with some car paint
is this best or do i need to buy some expensive primer and paint from the swindlery
boat is trailed and only on the mooring July and august
any ideas

Just use an etch primer on the bare ali, Acid8 is available from most good car places, then coat with a compatible paint on top. Car paint should be fine. Use the Hycote acrylic stuff. Good coverage and a durable finish.
