After a few tweaks and some tuning we finally got her singing for us, enjoy! She is built 1957 and 77 feet long @45 tons.

to get all those horses singing together must have been a wonderful experience. Just looking at it with a half decent sound system made my hair stand on end. Well done everyone connected with the boat!

Thank you, more to come later this summer! I'll show u clips from 45+ knots.

That is an amazing boat, i have a 4 foot model of the KD Perkassa with a 23cc petrol engine in that is about the only MTB i can afford to run !

Do you know what the fuel consumption is like at 50 kts ?, i would imagine it is measured in gallons per second ! :D

If we are at cruising speed we consume ~105.6gallons per hour. At full speed aprox 185gallons per hour, not that bad really. We save about 30% fuel compared to our friends on T46 which have 3xPetrol engines same size.

For comparison, an Airbus A320 burns roughly 665 gallons/hour! Great boat by the way

Look forward to that. They are just loitering at 24 knots....:D I just wish I had recorded our 2 X 9 cylinder Ruston AO 2 strokes kicking out 4500HP each. Was a great sound when they were behaving however like all thorough breeds they
could be temperamental. Mind you at 18 knots the wake shots were not impressive.

Bilgediver.....Ruston AO, dicussion here was about fuel consumption NOT lube consumption. You could spot Green Rover when she was still hull down by the smoke. Ruston AO, low fuel consumption at the expense of lube consumption, which nearly equalled the fuel consumption!

Oh.......I have a nice picture of Green Rover in the Malacca Straights smoking her way to Singers as she passed a smokeless Cornish City homeward bound with her new Pielstick.

Second mate thought the master looked to austere to take a joke from us about supplying lube oil to complete the voyage. CApt Bowles I believe from Cardiff
