Hi guys,

Needing to paint the topsides, had a quick look over the International colour sample cards and settled on Bondi blue as the closest match, bought a tin and tried a few small squares and it ends up drying a lot lighter. Lauderdale is the next step darker - from the test card I thought it too dark, but based on the experience with bondi blue it might work out nicely.

Does anyone here have photos of boats painted with either colour? It would definitely help with the decision rather than starting at square blocks of colour!

Many thanks!

Can't directly help you, but the main problem with the colour samples is that they are usually too small, and surrounded by colours irrelevant to your boat. If you can pick up a good handful of the colour leaflets, cut out however many copies you of each colour you are interested in, and tape/paste them together in a single block (of each), it might give you a better idea of how the colour looks over a significant area.
