Top of the range F/V for sale

looks like a lovely angling boat but modern danglers seem to want to speed out and back---if the weather turned bad i would be happier having a slow ride home than bashing my way back on a fast lightweight boat-----only thing i would change--- larger scuppers in case i shipped a big sea

Now, technical point her that I am addressing because there are a few designs on offer with sealed decks and scuppers which are not safe, they have not enough freeboard if loaded, the deck fills and does not clear, a few were lost.
So: most of these boats have top hat frames between the scuppers. A grp upstand, say 150mm, is attached across the frames and to the deck, and fitted with one way flaps to allow water out, not in. Should the boat seriously fill the water overtops the upstand. Effectively increases the freeboard, but will not cope if the scuppers are submerged, but mostly the problem is just water entering as the boat rolls, and not clearing. Flaps fitted in the hull get knocked about as gear comes in or out.
