Going to LBS with a mission to buy a radar reflector for my Corniche.

I am rather confused by the teccy side of all this and wondered whether there is a "top 3" or so that I should consider?

This is by and large the root of my confusion in that all the tests that I have read tend not to declare any real winners with the exception of the rather pricey "Seeme" type product.

Yours still (and some may say easily) confused

Just go for the octahedral slot together 'raincatcher' type. Much cheaper than the alternatives, and probably just as effective

I had a Furdell blipper which seemed to work well, but after many years the case cracked and it would fill with rainwater. Bought one of the thin tubular ones and asked a friend to find me on radar from about 3 miles and he said it gave him a strong echo, so that seems to work as well.
Far less windage with that than the blipper, but I'll wait to see whether it gets ripped off in the force 10 which is forecast for tomorrow.
