Toomer & Hayter - Check Your Invoices

I'm having troubles with Toomer & Hayter Ltd and if you have bought from them then I suggest you check your invoices.
They have two catalogues. The first displays prices both inc and exc vat. The second, for foam and fabrics, displays prices inc vat but excluding delivery.
I have ordered from this second catalogue only to find the invoice had VAT added again.
Anybody buying from Toomer & Hayter should check if they have been charged VAT twice.

If you have been charged VAT twice and can't get a refund then call in the VAT man and/or Trading Standards. It's illegal.

Perhaps it might be wiser not to accuse a company of improper acts on one error? Toomer and Hayter are a very old established company which, to my knowledge, have always been held in high regard by both the marine trade and their customers.

Have you never heard of a clerical error? Surely the first thing for one to do in this situation is contact the accounts department of the company in question, not make a song and dance of what is probably a genuine error.

Would you scream if, by mistake, a company forgot to charge you VAT?
