Too stupid by half -

At SBS last year I walked past the MBM stand (as you do) - I was hailed by a young lady who asked me if I wanted to take out a subscription. "No" says I - "I've already got one". Then she says "you could always take out a new one and cancel the old one" and "by the way you get this free MBM document bag".

The obvious "signed up a "NEW" customer" - KPI's achieved etc etc went through my mind.

But it was HER idea and so that bag looks nice thinks I - good idea - but hang on - I am bound to forget to cancel the old one and end up with two copies. But she looked so sad and so I fell to temptation and duly signed up collected my Very nice black bag and off I trotted.

A few weeks after getting home I remember /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif and decide to cancel the first subscription /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Good deal thinks me. So I duly cancel. Next copy arrives on time, and only ONE of 'em so I'm happy.

However my SWMBO says the other day "you havent had your MBM recently" /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif coo shes right - I havent. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

So the question is do I buy one from WHSmith for a few months and then sign up at SBS next year ?? I get another free gift and I dont have to go through the cancelation grief. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
