Went to LBS to look at Furuno radar. (Looking at colour LCD because have no room behind wheel for CRT display.)

Came back with details of 4 different menufacturers models. Does anyone have an opinion on any of the following four. They're all reputable so it comes down to ease of use really, I suppose.

Raymarine C70/C80

Koden MDC-721

Simrad RA 30

Furuno Navnet CMAR

I'll be using the radar as a stand alone unit and what I want to know, if anyone has one of these models, how do they find it in use?

I have a slight personal preference already, but wanted to see what other people think.

I'm sure they are all excellent products. I've got the Raymarine RL70CRC which I am pleased with. Raymarine give a 2 yr warrenty which I've had to claim on due to a faulty GPS sensor. Easy company to deal with. Lots of agents.
My reason for Raymarine is that I had Raymarine speed and depth so better integration with common Seatalk procol. Little bit more fuctionality than using NMEA which I would have had to use if fitting another brand.

I picked the NavNet system, but I think at this level it's all down to personal preference. Just choose the one that feels the most intuitive.

Hmmm! I was originally going for Furuno but I found the Koden more intuitive at LBS. I'll have to look around for a Koden dealer I suppose now.

Simrad and Koden appear to be basically the same unit but the Simrad model was malfunctioning at the show so I couldn't compare it properly.
