Anyone know where I can get marine charts for TomTom navigator that runs in HP IPAQ PDA? Alternatively, what could I use for navigation in IPAQ?

They are all available for free (/forums/images/icons/shocked.gif) download from any number of P2P networks such as Limewire, Shareaza etc, etc!

Or you could buy them! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I use TomTom for road nav and Memory Map (with Maptech charts) as a backup chart plotter. (BlueTooth GPS means no wires too!)

One thing to note is that the latest TomTom3 GPS software conflicts with Memory Map - you need an older version of the TomTom GPS engine then all is fine.

Cheers,

Jerry

I don't have a problem with TT3 and maptech as long as you disable the gsp when changing from TT to Memory Map ans vice verca

That's a bit of a pain, though. Using an older version of the GPS engine (v 2.06) means you don't have to do this! I haven't found this to cause any other problems or lose any functionality.

Cheers,

Jerry

<A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.chartwork.com/html/winchart_planner.html>This</A> will work for navigation at sea using a pda (especially Ipaqs)
