tomos outboard

hello, iv'e just been given a tomos ailsa craig 4, out board. i need some spare bits for it.

the question is who and where can i get bits from,(new or used)?

also iv'e got an old penta? 2 stroke out board that needs points and condenser. same thing applies.

Not sure of thier name, but, there is a tomos dealer in fareham hampshire, shouldn't be hard to locate

As to your Penta, they were also sold as "Electrolux" & "Crescent" by the Brown Brothers Motor Factors group. You might find a link there. Otherwise try Eric Boon, Soar Valley Boatyard, Sileby Rd, Mountsorrel, Loughborough, Leicestershire.

I have owned a 2nd hand Ailsa Craig nee Tomas for about 8yrs and have found it to be very good.It is however noisy as its air cooled but no water corrision or water pump to worry about.

When I have needed bits (exhaust, gaskets etc) I got them from SeaPage @ Poole 01929 551406 who are/were the importers.

You didn't know I had an outboard named after me?!...No neither did I, and it give me a very strange feeling to see that post header before I opened it!!...I hope it doesn't turn out to be a bit of a dog!!!

cheers all sorted, the distributor lives in the same town as me! i'm off to see him tommorrow, sounds like he can supply the more updated parts which may only need slight modification to fit and i think i can handle that, so thanks for the lead.
