OK guys (and gals) Tom (Tome) needs your support!

I heard today that Tom is not very well, in fact he is quite poorly. He has had cancer diagnosed and is off work whilst waiting treatment to start.

Having seen my 83 yr old father in law have a fight with cancer this year, I know what Tom and Karen will be going through. But its not all bad news, father in law is winning the battle, as so many people do today.

With the support and good wishes of all the forum around him, Tom will be another winner.

So I'll kick off by offering my best wishes to Tom and Karen, and Tom, I'll get in before anyone else, if there is ANYTHING I can do to help (with the boat perhaps?) then let me know, you know I 'm not far away.

Stephen

My best wishes as well. Keep your spirits up and remember that next year will have to be better than this one. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Best of luck to him, I feel for both him and his family as I have myself gone through the pain of a close relative with cancer - All i can say is, medical treatments are absolutely amazing in this day and age, I have no doubt that he will make anything but a speedy recovery!

My mum was diagnosed with cancer on Christmas eve 2004. (she went in for the appointment thinking well they are not going to tell you on christmas veve you've got cancer)
She is clear and well today.
It scared the bejasus out of us at the time and it was hard work but she beat it.
My thoughts are with you and all you love.

Such awful news, but in the few years that we've been reading this forum, I've an idea that he's not the kind of bloke who will let anything beat him down.
Our positive thoughts and prayers for them.

Don,t know what kind of cancer you have , but i had prostate cancer---had treatment and that was 8 years ago still doing wonderful. They do miracles these days.

echoing the above sentiments ... and will just add that this doesn't excuse Tom from the Scuttlebutt outing in Cherbourg next year...

I don't know Tome personally only through this forum. Having had a very close encounter with a loved ones breast cancer, I wish him and his family the very best for the future. Cancer is being beaten with ever more degrees of success and our thoughts and prayers will be with them. Geoff

Best of luck Tom(e). Don't let the b*stards grind you down /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

This really rough news and I too send on my best wishes for a successful outcome. My own mother and my wife's father have both got the better of the ba$tard, here's hoping you do too.
