When do boats stop going wrong ?
It’s nearly midnight and I have noticed a leak coming from the pump assembly at the base of my Jabsco quiet flush electric toilet
I never get to my backlog of jobs because there is ALWAYS a newer more urgent job

It'll still be there in the morning - so not urgent. Get some sleep.

Are you sure it's not leaking from the pipe that supplies the flush water at the top of the bowl? I have these and a. they are far from quiet. b. they are a PITA c. I would gladly change them for Tecma, but impossible for me. If not flush supply, would check the nuts that secure the bowl to the motor assembly are tight. Otherwise, bit of a strip down, and not too complicated

That was my first thought (and prayer)…but it’s the only toilet on the boat so I didn’t want to pull too much apart until I at least had a rebuild kit available

I have Jabsco 'Designer' toilets and they are crap (excuse the pun). The motors when you take them apart (as I had to with one) are not marine quality and I think mine are over 700 quid each new.. (I think!). I feel your pain sorting leaks. One of mine took about 3 attempts to stop a persistent leak..
You'l get there I'm sure but I'll be looking elsewhere when it comes to replacement time..

Mine are Olcese Ricci , fresh water flush porcelain bowls with additional bidet functionality built in ( handy chaps 😅) Been uneventful. It’s a 2001 boat OEM fitment .
They are not super silent , but pretty quiet no issue there FWIW .
Good bogs .No pressure or incentive to change .

The only thing I have done is out of boredom removed the black tank Jabsco pump , stripped it replaced its impeller ( €10 part ) and sharpened up the macerator blades + new gaskets .There was nothing wrong with it , I just fancied something to do one afternoon. We never hear it anyhow as it’s turned on while running ( fast @30 knots ) off shore so can’t comment if it’s excessively noisy .

The S/ Squeaker had those dreadful vac u flush , terrible design , hissing , duck bill issues , diverted valve leaks ,vac pump failure ….etc etc ……..but I get where builders are coming from in small shallow dead-rise boats = differential heights between the bowl and receiver tank so the “ vac “ draws horizontally or even up hill .You are not relying on gravity ….dare I say it no deep V space to site the holding tank lower than the bowls on the cabin soles 😀

A Tecma is a thousand euros 😱
What price dribbling salt water into your bathroom, or even worse if it’s the outlet that’s leaking sewage. My Jabsco quietflush toilets are endless trouble. I’ve not changed yet either, but I know it’s a good idea to do it.

I think it’s sewage...but I haven’t done the taste test yet 😳😱

Well you don’t need to, it’s in a sense the same thing anyway. Salty, smelly, bug infested fluid in both cases that corrodes and destroys everything it drips onto.

Olcese Ricci is a catalogue company. They stick their name on other people's white label products, like Vetus. So your thrones could be anything.
I agree that vacuflush is the work of the devil, but your engineering analysis is not correct - most non vac toilets positively pump waste uphill and don't rely on gravity. A Tecma will pump sh1t up to a height well above the radar of any boat they are fitted on. Whether deep V hull or not :).
