Morning all,
I'm looking to replace an old Raritan toilet on my motor boat. The pipe sizes and locations look like they will work with a Jabsco basic twist n lock toilet and the installation should be fairly straightforward.
I need to replace the board that the toilet is mounted on. It is currently a sheet of ply covered in old 80's Lino.
Is it possible to buy small pieces of corian type material that I can machine myself?
Alternatively, is there a kitchen worktop type product that has a ply or wood base rather than chipboard.

Finally, is there anything else I need to do in the installation to ensure the loo works well?
Would you recommend the jabsco toilet fresh system?

I am not too sure about Jabsco at this time.

I bought the compact version at the Excel boat show from a chandler there, paid in full and it still hasn't arrived.

I have spoken to the chandler who advises that there is a problem with Jabsco getting the bits together so everybody is waiting.

Best you check before ordering!

Jumbleduck,
Is your toilet a Raritan PHII? If so I'd be interested in the full pump assembly and service kit. How much would you want for them?
The bowl on mine is fine but the pump housing was cracked by ice and I repaired it with epoxy. Now a few of the seals are perished so I was just going to replace it.

Sorry, it's an even older old Raritan - a Compact, as fitted to 70s and 80s Westerlies. A GIS suggests that the pumps are completely different.

Thanks anyway.
I think a Jabsco looks like the best option. The Mrs like the idea of a new toilet especially with the toilet fresh system.
A service kit for my Raritan is around £70 but a new jabsco is around £100.
