Tohatsu paint/coating repair?

What do my esteemed colleagues say is the correct /best way to coat this damage and corrosion? The leg will live underwater (outboard in well) so it needs sorting properly. As a side note, the anode is a little deteriorated, so presumably working to some degree, should I be giving it a closer look?

That simple? Any particular paint better than any other? Or just plain rattle can auto paint?

The etch primer is the important bit. After that, any old paint would be fine but colour matched tohatsu paint would be best.

Rattle cans of Tohatsu paint are available. As already said, use etching primer first.
