Tohatsu 60

Does anyone know why popping through the exhaust accurs when my tohatsu 2 Stoke 60 is idling ?

I have a worked Tohatsu 50 2Stroke (Thundercat) - I consider this quite normal. Mind you, only really notice when running on the muffs when out of the water, possibly from lack of back pressure (all speculation)

Fairly normal right enough of you mean a kind of occasional puffing. Any worse than that it’s a missfire likely caused by a number of things. Plugs, coil stator etc etc. These things aren’t optimum at idle with things like oil injection mix etc to be considered. Optimum at high revs and plugs get fouled at long periods of idle or close to it.
