To the I/T experts : pdf files.. NB mainly

For some time now when I try to open any pdf file I get a message that it is an Omnipage pdf file and I need to find the appropriate programme to open it. I have both Adobe and Scansoft Omnipage and have tried re-installing both. Could somebody please tell what I should be doing so that it is Adobe again which controls them?

I don't remember doing anything specific to effect the change to Omnipage.

Open Windows Explorer, click on Tools, click Options, click on the File Types tab, highlight .PDF then click on Change... Opens with, search for Adobe.
