To laminate or not to laminate

Hello.
I've been looking at different types of laminate flooring (not the cheap stuff) along with underlay some of which say provide a damp proof membrane. I need to reline my fore peak which at the moment has some tatty grey carpet glued to a bit of ply.
What do you think? About the laminate not the tatty grey carpet.

Find a grade of laminate described as suitable for bathrooms, and it should make an acceptable job.

Local wood place here in Bristol, marine laminate very cheap and cut to size, Robins I think is the name. £140 per 8x4 sheet is the starting price.

Are you talking about the cabin sole or the cabin sides/ceiling? If it's the sides/ceiling I don't know if the laminate would bend enough?
