Kim
Can you please change the forum to put the lastest post at the top of the list? - searching now for active threads is a pain and forum use seems to have dropped off as a result of this and other factors.

If you go to display preferences in user options you have the choice of display by creation date or by last post date, think default is creation date.
Have mine set to last post date so active topics always at top

Re: Dear Kim

Have you not learnt to relax a bit from those dolphins you train yet?

Just take a few deep slow breaths and relax ..... now , do you really think it is wrong to request a change in the forum?... and do you really think it is egotistical to request such a change? If you do, then I suggest you have the dolphins train you .... they have a lot to teach :)

But unfortunately the default setting is by creation date, so should you go to add something useful to a post you made a few days ago then 99% of the users will not see it as will have their viewing set as default.

I've pleaded with Kim to change this in the past to no avail. This is the only forum I've ever seen on the Internet that runs this way and it is a real shame.

However it does mean that "politically unsavoury" posts disappear from sight within a day no matter how relevent so maybe thats why it is left as is...

I prefer to see the posts listed by creation date. If you want to change it , the facility exists to meet you criteria, all you have to do is change your default values.

The only problem with creation date order, now is that we dont get email information on responses to our posts (and also the next/previous doent work)

But it won't work unless everyone does it because I'll reply to a thread from a day or two ago and only those very few who've changed will see it.

I don't have the time/inclanation to be on here 24/7 and so any thread more than a day or so old is a complete waste of time replying to as those set to the default setting will never see it as it'll be buried a day or two back.

As to your preferring it set to Creation date order, I'm willing to bet you've never tried a week with it set to replied to posts first, I'm also willing to bet if you tried it for a week you wouldn't change back...
