Most of you will already know this but, since several boats had problems on Saturday, I thought it was worth stating that the tidal height marker outside Titchmarsh marina doesn't give an accurate reflection of the minimum depth inside anymore.
We returned on Saturday nearly 2 hours before LW with an indicated 2m at the entrance height marker (we draw 1.8m)and then ploughed through mud under full revs as we passed the fuel pontoon and the head of B ponton. Several other yachts got stuck later - one off the fuel berth and another at the end of D/E pontoons.

I had the same experience a few weeks ago, gauge showed about 1.8m, I draw 1.4, slowed suddenly by fuel berth, but managed to drive through.

I told the guy in the office and he made a note to get their workboat to check the depths, clearly nothing was done /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Perhaps now several yachts have got stuck they will sort it out?

Had the berth just by the fuel pontoon (A25) overnight and settled with waterline over a foot clear and prop showing. Allowing for settling into the mud, there must have been less than 0.75 metre. Deepest water seemed to be on the other side as one boat drawing a metre ran aground near us as it tried to leave, another was able to carry on.

Last weekend's tides were below predictions - (high pressure?) - everywhere seemed t be running out of water!
