Treadmaster make a special paint called Treadcote for renovating tired Treadmaster. You can find details on their web site here. I don’t have any experience of it myself.

We had a Sadler 29 as well, and I guess you are looking at the covering on the companionway steps. Treadmaster make paint, matching colours, for recoating this material. It looks quite good afterwards but is rather expensive, about £30 I think. I have a nearly full pot of the beige available (I got it half price in a sale!) here in East Kent if you happen to come this way.

I've just painted mine with Blakes deck-paint. It looks great. I don't see why it shouldn't last at a fraction of the price of the Treadmaster stuff.

We had the same problem but with blue treadmaster. I gave it a good covering of swarfega, left it for a while the gave it the once over with a scrubbing brush. It is not as good as new but certainly got rid of the grubbiness.

You might want to try painting the treadmaster, then sanding off the surface of the diamonds. I used the same deck paint as on the rest of the floors and the texture gives a nice contrast.
Of course... you can only do this a finite number of times before the profile of the raised bits is reduced.
