Any sail maker will quote for new dodgers. If you are a member of the Westerly Owners Association Navigators and General will give you a discounted price.

I bought my dodgers off the web from www.goldfinchcovers.com
You can imput the sizes and design etc. They were half the cost of the local sailmaker but he was charging a considerable amount for the letters and my boat has eleven letters in the name. The letters are heat bonded on not sewn but no problem yet in the 3 years I have had them.Friends have also bought from them.

There are many reasons why I dislike dodgers but eventually as I tried to venture out earlier in the season and stay afloat into november I realised that the extra warmth gained, it may be a good idea to have some.

The one big thing I found on another personss boat, is that feeling of being shut in and remote from the environment a little.

I discussed with Jan, who does the smaller canvas items for boats in my yard, about having perspex windows as found in hoods, along the top half of the dodger. This she made and it was a great success.

Now a different boat and I'm thinking of having the same again.

I guess should be between £50 & £120ea. depending on material used, size overall and if you have name put on etc..
