A man goes into the toyshop to buy his daughter a doll. The assistant shows him the various Barbie dolls on offer, and explains what each one is: "That's Riding Barbie, Swimming Barbie, Princess Barbie and Bridesmaid Barbie, all priced at £12.99". The guy's attention is drawn to a glamourously dressed Barbie at the end of the row, priced at £20.00 and he asks the assistant why it is more expensive, to which she replies "That's divorced Barbie. She costs more, because she's got Ken's car, his house, his money.................."

Tip No. 2 - just don't get married full stop. Why sign a lifetime contract for a deteriorating service when you can get a new service provider every couple of months? /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

Glad that works for you, but for me and I really am sorry to sound like an old fart, once again, I think it does depend a lot on that initial choice. I know I was very lucky and am going to appear like a right nancy but here goes:

Getting married? best move I ever made!!

Met at 16, engaged at 21, married at 23, 27 years later? love her more than I ever did. Done everything with her, travelled the world, been truly broke, been relatively well heeled, had kids, had tragedies, had massive joy, boxes & boxes of memories. Wife, Best Friend, Lover all that stuff and for my part would recomend to anyone as long as you truly love her to start with, not just drift into, 'cos it seems the right thing to do, for either of you. Bit like choosing a boat really. Paul

ps. The service is actually getting better!! Please don't all torch me!!!

Yup, in favour of marriage. #2 is younger, blonder, cleverer and likes boating. She wants a bigger boat but accepts that we are skint and works her backside off to try and keep the current one.

Also fond of decent port and makes superb garlic mushrooms. Love her to bits.

Some interesting and some humerous replys to my tongue in cheak post. For the record and just in case James (jim44) Martyn (med dreamer) or Paul (Nautorious) let it slip about the content of the post /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif I am very happy with my current partner and have no plans to P. exchange. It was the ex wife I had the issues with. Furthermore I have only admiration for any man who can pick the right choice first time.
Right thats got that sorted then.

Selective memory

...might be worth mentioning to Ian that selective memory can often be cured by the application of large quantities of free alcohol? /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Re: Selective memory

I cannot condone over indulgence of Alchohol. Oh well go on then maybe just a small one if it helps you forget.
