Tip: Need a bit of wide heat shrink?

Does it make a difference what type of plastic / bottle? E.g. pepsi bottle type or water type of bottle.

Do you use a hot air gun?

Sounds good; real money saver.
Cheers
And how come my clock says it is 10:29, but pbo forum clock says you posted at 10:43?
I've just remembered this tip, as I'm going to need it soon.

The problem: you need to cover a large object with something to protect it, no heat shrink available.
The solution: use a plastic water bottle, it shrinks at least 2:1 when heated, and will form to the contours.

Hey - just like crisp packets, when ah were a kid! Geat tip, looking forward to 'entertaining' my partner and son with that one tomorrow -

"What the hell are you doing, putting that in the oven?"

J.

Probably a "PETE" bottle.

You need to go into settings and check your date and time options.
