I have been looking for a second hand dinghy that will carry the whole family in one go - five of us. My existing Zodiac 2.35m tender is great - very light, and good, but it does mean two trips. I have been looking a second hand tinker funsail, which apparently will take a payload of at least 1,000 llbs. Advantages are the ability to deflate and move in the car, and sailing kit. Horrendous downside - the price - guy wants a grand for a 1996 model (!), altho' does have full sailing kit and waste of time liferaft. For this second hand price one could get a brand new 3.1m quality dinghy,or even an older Avon rib? So any experiences of tinkers, particularly the funsail? Any good? Worth a grand?

Brilliant kit, brilliant after sales and servicing, good fun when rigged for sailing, excellent carrying capacity, high residual and resale value, tough as old boots.
