The Aussie 'saved'' at sea after "his electronics were knocked out by a storm". Sounds a bit of a d**khead if the reports are to be believed. But not so stupid if his tale of 'courage and survival' is a best-seller to the international press!

Why should the reports be believed? When have you ever known the press to get anything even vaguely right :)

I presume the storm caused a lot more problems than just knocking out the electronics - but as the pictures show he still had a mast standing is seems incredible he couldn't come up with some form of jury rig. So quite possibly a couple of cans short of a six pack,

Raw fish and rainwater... Surprised the mutt is alive!
There was a time when catching rainwater and trailing a fishing lure was standard practice for yachts on ocean passages.

These days I guess if either the water-maker or the fridge-freezer breaks down, its time to call in Air-Sea rescue.
