Tilt on Yamaha 15hp

The tilt mechanism on my friends Yam 15 is amazingly stiff.

I am assuming it's just rusty/lack of lube that has caused it, but does anyone know if it's an easy strip down or are there hidden springs etc coiled up waiting to catch me out?

Should only be the pivot pin , No hidden extras .

I can't get that out - it seems seized - perhaps that's the problem?

I didn't want to hit it with a punch to push it out as I didn't want to damage anything.

Would it be ok to do this??
