Yeah, winter is here and time for a boat project!
I have a 23ft Nordic with tiller steering and want to change to wheel, I have been advised by a boat repairer to get teleflex steering gear (not the wires and pully ones), the only ones I can find are for outboard engines, will these work OK with a fixed rudder steering system.
I know that I will have to glass some sort of bracket beside the rudder shaft and weld some sort of fixing to the shaft to attach the cable/steering mechanism to.
Am I along the right lines or totally of the mark?
Please advise me on this.
