Are there differences between Raymarine and Simrad tillerpilot fittings where they engage at each end? Or are they the same? Reason I ask is that I have a TP22 which is used quite a bit, mostly when motoring. I’d like to carry a backup, and am just wondering if I need to go for another Simrad or if a Raymarine would fit.
For various reasons I am not able to fit the tp ‘correctly’ and it is too far forward, away from the rudder stock. This means that the throw is quite limited, but also means that the forces are quite small, fine when under engine. So I believe an entry level tp would be adequate and they seem to come up on eBay fairly often

Thank you

I had both in quick succession, can confirm that the fixings are pretty much the same, the Raymarine tiller end being a tiny bit smaller from memory, as above - not enough to make any difference.
