I am hoping to upgrade my autopilot from a Raymarine wheelpiot to a linear drive unit and will need a new tiller arm fitted to the rudder shaft to connect it to. The shaft appears to be 1.5in diameter. Does anybody know of a supplier of such an item. The required length from the centre of the shaft to the pin to take the the drive is 10in. I would prefer a split collar to clamp on the shaft to avoid disturbing the existing tiller arm from the Whitlock wheel. Thanks.

I recently fitted a linear drive and had problems getting enough room on the rudder shaft for another tiller arm so I bolted a plate under the steering quadrant to which the drive connects to.
Obviously it depends on what room and available bulkheads or strong brackets there are.
It was a [--word removed--] of a job and took most of the winter to contrive and fit what I considered a proper job.

Cheers
