Tight oil filter :(

An inexpensive Draper strap wrench from Toolstation did the removal job for me recently but it did crush the can slightly. A snap on strap wrench borrowed on a previous occasion was much better. I dare say the snap on wrench would be expensive.

Tnx all, sent the three grip turner tool back without trying it out.
Previous oil filter removal kit with various cups that were supposed to grip the filter a waste of money and time.
The strap oil wrench took it off no prob using a big socket wrench and extender.
Did assemble it with oil on the seals.

Not oil but fuel filters just after I got our boat were dry assembled and the rubber had welded on. Managed to snap a wrist tendon trying to get them off. Broke 2 filter wrenches before finally getting it off. Then had to start on the other one! Not much fun and didn't want to risk puncturing it as it was the on engine fuel filter.. always assemble with oil now..
