Doing the sums for Saturday's trip round to Bradwell.
The tides are rubbish for us - too late to get across the Ray and arrive in time for dinner at the Green Man.

So we will be leaving Burnham at around 6am on Saturday morning, out to the Swin , then ghost back up the Blackwater, arriving around 2pm.
Which is a tad inconvenient.

However, note that the Tide Deities also give us a lie in on Sunday after Fitting Up, and we will be able to leave late and cross the Ray about an hour and a bit before HW, and thus be back in Bridgemarsh around 7pm.

Winds look light at the moment, and also not terribly kind on Saturday.
No matter, it will be good to see old friends and new.

Looking forward to the presentation by Balanced Seas too.

We may well be in the area at that time as well.
But we are not as quick as you two due to a shorter waterline and a grubby bottom.
Planing to come rould from the deben on Friday evening.

I am scrubbing my bottom:eek: or rather someone is going to do it for me:D on Thursday and will be leaving Shotley somewhere around that time so it may well be a case of head em up herd em out:D

Excellent, convoy it is then .........

'fraid we'll be unable to join the shotley caravan - I'm rostered to lay moorings at Marconi on both Saturday and Sunday morning - so we'll be heading down to the Blackwater on Friday evening.

I don't fancy marina manoeuvering at midnight so we'll carry on to Marconi and pick up a mooring there - then head in to Bradwell Marina when the work party disbands - early afternoon.

That's the plan anyway...

Jim - really? 8 hours from crouch to b'water?

Spotted

Hi All,

We left town yesterday (Bradwell) as we heard there was all sorts arriving!! ;)
Whilst heading for Burnham we spotted one of the fitting in supper attendees!!! (we were the yacht that headed towards you near where the seals were in the crouch).

Hope you all had a fab time

Ian and Sarah
