Sorry if this has been answered many times before!

I am planning a trip down river to South Dock and aim to be in South Dock by HW +1 hr on Sunday 21 June when HW London Bridge is 12.21 GMT or 13.21 BST, so arriving 14.21 latest BST.

I was hoping to get there by leaving Teddington around 10.00 to 10.30 BST that morning.

My question is will that give me adequate water levels from Richmond to Chiswick with a 1m draft and given 520hp, speed limits and traffic is c 4 hours a sensible allowance for the 22nm trip?

My calculations show this would take me past Richmond at c 2 hours after LW, is this going to give me adequate depth from Richmond to Chiswick given a tidal height on that day of -0.14m below chart datum?

Also will that departure time mean using the lock at Richmond or will the gates be open?

You'll be locking out, and the lockie won't open the gates until he reckons you'll still be floating once done!

Stay in the middle, there's enough water for your vessel OK. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Your trip from Teddington (lock exit not entry) should take no longer than 3 hours and possibly less.
I have a passage Plan that includes the leg from Teddington to Tower Bridge and beyond, which might be helpful. I have used it many times. PM me if you would like a copy or email me from the HMYC website. I too am an HMYC member.
Some time since I called at S Dock but I thought their entry window went later than HW+1 ?
No regrets is correct that, if you know the exact route, you can traverse even the shallowest parts at anything other than LWS, but it can be stressfull, especially with unprotected twin engines.
Going to St Kats, I used to leave Richmond using the lock no earlier than HW-3 (1 hour before sluices are opened) which never failed to get me there in time.

I would normally leave Teddington at the GMT Time in the tide tables for HW London Bridge. (Makes it easy to remember - that is HW Teddington - 2Hours.)

You will probably beat Richmond barrier to opening and probably have to wait around a few minutes (~15->20), then as soon as barrier raises off you go.

You should make it to South Dock with adequate time to get in before HW +2hours (I believe South Dock opens HW +- 2Hours See CLICKY HERE )

Appollo Mike: This is Peter from Wave Dancer II, I recently swapped my Sheerline 950 for the S37 so this is my first visit to the tidal Thames.

MikeT: I will PM you shortly as the Passage Plan would be really helpful :-)
