Anybody know where you can get tidal stream info for the Channel on line ?

It seems you can get tide heights etc from a variety of sights but what about streams / flows ?

Any ideas ?

I think UKHO have it covered! Unless you can host it outside the UK then the cheapest way is an Admiralty tidal stream atlas and a freebie Dover tide times card.

The thing is tidal streams I assume don't change daily like the height and time of tides so why should the info be ' sensitive' like times and heights.

I know its in most almanacs but I'm sat here at work just trying to do some planning and this is the missing info.

Amazing you can't get it on line though.

I think you're right there is a gap in the market.

You could make some little chartlet things showing the tidal streams at various times b4 and after HW at a primary port and then charge people to look at them!!!

Hey what about people who don't have a computer or who want to be able to look at them at will.

I wonder. May be you could print them in some sort of book and charge people to buy the book.

Thanks Roberto.... that's done the trick.

I just wanted to know what time the tide turned west towards Alderney.

Now all I've got to do is find the diffrence betweeb HW Dover and HW St Malo !!!
