Strangford is Belfast +1.52. However if you are coming in look at the chart Admiralty 2156 or a pilot. The Narrows are a tidal gate six miles long with almost an hour difference between Killard Point at the entrance and Strangford at the head. Up to 6.5 knots at springs. Easy at the right time and weather, unforgiving otherwise

JMH, many thanks!

That is exactly what I was after, and more. Never been given hour by hour account before.
I owe you a /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif or two.

Jim J. I know exactly what you are saying about the differences over the length. I actually live on the Ards Peninsula, so I really should have bought this years small craft almanac. Thanks for replying. A /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif to you as well.
