Most of the programme was an affectionate look at the Sea Kings and was nicely done.
Spolit a bit towards the end when there was some silliness about Prince Harry followed by a few minutes of sloppy over sentimentalism.
The first 50 minutes was fine though.
It was a bit petty to completely ignore the efforts of Bristows and CHC helicopters flying SAR for over 20 years, under the Coastguard flag, even if its not really a Seaking but an S61. ( Badge engineering?)
They even interviewed a Bristows ex-winchman (Shiner Wright) without letting on!
the container ship rescue was impressive as was Boscastle, the news clips never showed the river to that degree, the speed of flow was unbelievable.fancy sitting on that roof, one slip a gonner
I thought it was brilliant. But then I would as my son was flying one of the Junglie ones shown in the programme. He was also the pilot for delivery of the Olympic Torch.
