What the hell is a Thuraya phone? Is it one made in Indonesia, sounds like it should be!
Thought better of your cat idea yet, still think a big mono hull would be better, there's some good bargains out there.

I should listen to someone who can't catch a cold, let alone a lobster!....<G>
Still fancy the idea of a Cat stable platform and all that (don't fancy living life on the angle any more!!!)
and the area bit takes some beating; would have to go for a monohull size that two of us couldn't handle comfortably.

Stick with the cat mate, as a multihull owner (tri in my case) I find that being able to go for a walk on a 34' boat without lurching from one handhold to the next, is a pleasure monohull owners can never have.
The level of stability is a bit addictive---be warned

Thanks chippie, I need some moral support with this lot!....see may of em sail dogs and can't admit it to themselves; whereas I keep em for pets.
