......the RYA sent me a form. This form is for the Motorboat Muster in Cowes on april 3rd & 4th. Now I know Brendan has mentioned it before. Cost is betwixt 32.90 and 94.00 quid. Plus another15 quid per person (including kids) for the "crew".

Who's going, whats the deal, will it be any good. Thers not really an itinery or a program of events. Anyone been on one of these before?

We can all do that a lot cheaper! We are all big boys now, and unless there is some sponorship freebies in it for us why bother! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I know and we have done. There was even the mega doo at mercury which started life in wareham as a jaunt to Newton creek. But thats not the point. There was mention a while ago that there was to be an open talk/question time hosted by the RYA. Plus its using the boat isn't it.

Perhaps best if we wait and see the plan of action then! Its different for me, I can be in Cowes in 15 mins from Hamble entrance and I live 10 mins drive from where the boat is moored. Mind you takes me about 35 mins to chug down the Hamble - but a lot better than driving round the M25 !

Fairly certain that the main purpose is to enable Motor Boaters to meet the RYA Cruising team, whilst combining it with a weekend social.

Why not call RYA for detail if unsure?

Motor Boaters have recently given (rightly) RYA Cruising some grief for not representing them. Now RYA Cruising are giving you the ability to assist them plus an excuse for a social gathering.
