Through hull Garmin 500c fishfinder transducer

My transom mounted transducer has disappeared and not planning to lift boat till end of season. Where can I find a through hull item, that is, mounted inside and no holes drilled?

I was in the Parkstone branch of Force4 a couple of weeks ago and a member of staff showed me one. They're not on display and after a quick look in their website not on there either.

Thanks for that. I did call Force 4 at Shamrock who told me they have one but could not confirm would be compatible with my 500c helm unit. Im calling Garmin H.O on Monday for confirmation. Cheers.

Hi. Positioned correctly and installed with a suitable medium to sound through…it’s almost a given that any sort of transducer compatible with your head unit, will sound through the hull. I’ve yet to find one that didn’t and always had transom mounted transducers sat in the bilge with silicone or petroleum jelly securing it and providing the medium to sound through. Just need to experiment a little with temporary trial mountings in the best position.
