throttle cable mighty old

I have a 40 yr old throttle cable, possibly brass, either end a ball and socket. fits a chrome accelerator lever. the inner cable has bent at the engine end and i cant slow the engine as far down as i could. does anyone know if they still make these or if there is an alternative.

Try contacting Asap supplies, they are usually v helpful may be able to point in the right direction but you may have to adapt something to work...
