What throttles do you have?

We looked into adjusting ours, it sounded a bit of a pain.

In terms of revs, you have a cable that goes to the throttle on each engine, no problem to adjust.

For the gear select, ours has four cables going into a large, complicated plate mechanism type thingy, which is purly for gear selection, nothing to do with revs or power. All this will do is adjust where the gear engages according to the throttle position.

So, I do not think that the adjusting the gear engagement will effect your top speed power??? Well at least it would not make any difference on ours.

We called RK marine to find out how to setup our gear engaging settings, after a 10 minute conversation I decided to leave it well alone. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

Are you sure you are not getting full throttle? without starting the engines put the throttle as far forward as it can got then go loolk at the engine side try to push the throttle more, if you cant it, is getting full throttle, if you can look where the cable connects and there should be a couple of nuts that lock together, loosten these nuts and push the throttle on the engine fully open, run the adjuster nut and lock nut to the lever and tighten then retry.

There may be more wrong but this is quick and easy to try first
