Anyone know what thread size and type is for a teleflex HH5271 (1.7) with a 'SeaStar' label? Thread is damaged on mine and I'm trying to find out what size it is so I can get a die to run down it to clean up the thread. Diameter looks about 5/8th (ish) and it is declared as a standard ¾" tapered shaft on the web site but apart from that I can't find out what thread/size it is. Google was not my friend this time!
Thanks.

Kit comprising nut, key and washer are available. Make sure you state pump part # if ordering.

The NF designation stands for National Fine and UNF stands for Unified Fine. The National designation is from the old United States Standard which was replaced by the American National Standard for Unified Threads in 1949. This 'new' standard unified the UK, Canada and the US standards. The thread forms are basically identical with only subtle changes in the tolerances. I doubt you could buy a fastener these days made to the old standard. I would specify UNF threads, so your machinist doesn't have to have a custom tap made, that is if he is doesn't make the substitution himself.

The above lifted from another forum so yes quite close
