As we reach the end of the laying up season (at least for those that aren't staying in), I got around to thinking that we should have nominations for 'thread of the year' with an Honary Scuttlebuttmeister title (and associated priviledges) awarded to post originator for services to the community....

Any nominations?

Yep. As a bystander the M5 reached forums other arguments don't reach. Only downside is people are apparently permanently scarred by it.
But I enjoy all the hijackings. Couldn't pick one out. Have tried to predict the last message subject matter on some compared to the original question, and was hopelessly out. So joining MI5 now a real possibility.

My vote...

...would go to the Virtual Cherbourg cruise; new heights in surrealism were scaled that day.

Re: My vote...

Missed the virtual action whilst doing the live version, but read it upon return. Very good!

Hard to say, but the Hunting and M5 ones are both favourites..... I probably tip the Hunting one since that one is still on line. The girl wanted one was probably one of the most funniest ones.....

It is a waste of time and it annoys the pig.

Re: My vote...

The virtual cruise was my favourite too it's the only one I read in real time, though I did enjoy as much of the sting thread that I could read afterwards. Sometimes work does get in the way...

Totally disagree Clive - M5 went on too long at the time, spoiling the main thread which is why its all turned sour now - I'm bored of it.

Didn't read any of the hunting debate because I find any of the political arguments on here are a complete turn off.

I ROTFLMHO at the Girl Wanted post though /forums/images/icons/smile.gif/forums/images/icons/smile.gif
