I urgently need access to some information about my Mini M satphone, the Thrane & Thrane TT-3064A, which is the marine version branded 'Capsat'. The same model is now being distributed by Sailor.
I am unable to connect and my service provider has spent all week telling me that there is a call bar that they are trying to lift. Today, their out of hours service tells me that there is definitely no call barring on my account but could I kindly move my yacht a few miles to see if there is a line-of-sight problem /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Since the kit can see three satellites (AORW, AORE and IOR) with five bars of signal (maximum), moving the yacht seems as pointless as it difficult, when rafted inside four other boats on the river Tiber.
According the the T&T User Manual, there are a number of menu items that give sufficient details to an engineer to diagnose almost any problem....RF Block, etc., which gives specific signal levels and diagnostics. Unfortunately, the User Manual does not give any diagnostic information on this and the service provider (AST Telecommunications) is without any information whatsoever...they don't know anything about the phone at all /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Can anyone tell me where to find a T & T (or Sailor) manual that will give me the diagnostic information I need, or does anyone have a manual and could tell me what is in those sections?
Seeing as Mini M is supposed to be part of the GMDSS system and safety and distress working is its key selling proposition, to have been left with a failed system since the 10th April seems quite incredible. Any of you who were thinking of buying such a system ought to reconsider. The guilty parties in my case include.......

Their staff are, in my opinion, untrained, lazy, incompetent and disinterested.
