Hi all I was wondering about fitting trim tabs to my Antares 9 series,
We all know they run with the bow high so what are other 9 series owners using if anything,
also what speed or revs do you find best to just get it over the hump,
I got the volvo KAMD 43p in it

hi pondfish, mine came with lenco tabs fitted good for leveling the boat in a seaway ,use them to bring bow dow when going into a chop,it does not run too bow high we normaly cruise at about 2600-2750 revs 14-15 knots ours has D4-260 fitted at this speed we use between 5-7 gallons an hour.

May be more expensive, but I have Humphree Interceptors on my boat (previous boat had tabs) and I find these much better. They autotrim, and do not provide a big sheet to attract fouling.

We have an 805 which is similar in attitude. I fitted the Volvo tabs which are the blade type and they have much improved the rough handling and comfort. Improve efficiency in short chop but no effect in smooth water. I judge this by monitoring the speed on the gps at different settings. Also with the tanks positions 805 s don’t tend to run level. Problem solved.
