I'm pretty sure Fred and all the other failures are expecting a free provision of a viewing point - possibly with added facilities (eg food, drink and WCs)
 
I'd pay to just watch the those on the pontoon trying to remain seated and holding on to their champagne as the wash from flotilla hits them - got to be a U tube moment:D

For once - I'm inclined to agree with you (not that I invariably disagree, you understand...)
'tis all smoking mirrors.

Although always a Royalist, methinks (unkindly) there are too many closet Palace Followers managing to screw things up for all sorts of reasons, whereas HMQ and family would really like to make the event inclusive...

£150 for 4 hours hours sitting in a stacking chair and with a small flute of Cava a ....bargain

However feel sure that Mrs Oldgit will understand my reluctance to buy two tickets and will be happy to remain at home and perhaps fill her time with a bit of ironing etc until my return with tales of the days events.
