Hammerite light blue hammered is so close, it looks as though Leyland used it in the first place. I don't like it though: if/whenever I get round to a badly needed repaint, it'll be BMC Green.
For anyone with a Thornycroft in the Med - France etc there is an english guy called Ted Johnson who has been in France for 20 odd years and is the expert in all things thornycroft (and others)
Tél : (+33) 03.86.20.14.80
Fax : (+33) 03.86.20.14.84 contact@marine-diesel.fr
his web site is at www.marine-diesel.fr
Of course he speaks perfect english and supplies and dispatches thornycroft bits around the world - he is rebuilding my transmission at the moment - he mentioned last time I was there its impossible to get the real engine paint any more - I have always used asap but Ted is a smaller but equelly efficient business and dispatches faster and much cheaper to europe (not sure if he is better for uk???) I live in La Rochelle........
