Morning all,

recently purchased a CW 34 with aThorneycroft 345 based of a Leyland6/98 engine.

The calorifier has never been connected to the engine’s coolant system to allow it to heat the tank whilst motoring

does anyone have any advice as to where is best to take off the system for the loop extension.

It's likely there will be blanking plugs at appropriate points to allow easy tapping of the cooling circuit for this purpose; supply to calorifier will come probably from the vicinity of the thermostat housing(top left in the picture) and there will be a similar size hole for return flow into the intercooler header tank(large oblong shape with a radiator cap at the bottom of the picture).
