Thorn Nymph Gas Water Heater

I have a Thorn Gas water heater installed on my boat. It came with the boat but there were no instructions. The pilot light ignites without any problem but I cannot get the main burners to light when running the hot tap.

Are there any forumites with experience of these water heaters out there that may have a tip for me?

I have tried google but there is nothing out there in the blogosphere!

if there is a flue, is it clear ? No flow is bad news.

Can you see if the pilot flame makes the thermocouple bend, thus allowing gas to flow to the main burners ? If the main jets don't work, then the t'couple could be damaged or shortcircuited.

I will check the thermocouple tomorrow.
